A 3.3 magnitude earthquake was felt in Utah and Salt Lake Counties on Nov. 25, 2016.

A small earthquake south of Salt Lake City on Friday morning was felt by some 200 people in the area.

The University of Utah Seismograph Stations said in a news release Friday that the magnitude 3.2 quake occurred at 8:45 southwest of Bluffdale in the southern end of the Salt Lake City metro area.

Seismologist Relu Burlacu says reports have come in from around the area including in Sandy, South Jordan and Salt Lake City.

The largest earthquake recorded in the area came in 1992 when a magnitude 4.1 hit.
